Re: applying torque-Jack

Jack, as long as I bring my back elbow to my side, is THAT what creates torque?
> Or do I have to actually apply it with my fingers? I'm doing the latter right know and it feels like the bat is getting way ahead of my hip rotation! help jack

Max

Droping your elbow does not apply torque. It only flattens the bat to get in on the same plane as the ball.

Your hips should move before anything above them moves. While some say turn your hips first, you cant do it without starting at your feet so you hips are not the first thing to move. But, your hips move before your upper body. So if your hands are in front of your hips you are probably not moving your hips first, your moving your shoulders and hands first.
