Regarding The Moronal Theory, I also have noticed that Matt Williams had back leg rotation. He also had batting stance, batting gloves and bat, with bat tar on the handle. Jack has talked a lot about hitters such as Williams and their respective bat rotation and pine tar habits.

I have to point out a usage error in the original post that is surprising to see from such a reknowned wordsmith. "Begging the question" doesn't mean there is an obvious question that has arisen but has gone unanswered.

"Begging the question" is a term from the field of rhetoric. It means "a logical fallacy." It happens when a proposition rest upon one of its own premises. It is a form of circular reasoning.
