Hi Torque

I denote the "lag position" as that point of the swing where the bat's knob is aimed at the pitcher and head at the catcher. This is not meant to imply the bat is static (or stalled) at that position. It is merely a point of reference. As the video below show, with high level mechanics, the bat is accelerating through the lag position.
