As always, thanks for your detailed, thoughtful response. Having my son read your response is 1000% more effective than me explaining it to him. You have quickly achieved "guru" status in my boy's eyes.

Coincidentally, watching ESPN last night for 90 minutes on the MAC-steroid news, my son had a lot of opportunity to see MAC's swing mechanics, and we rewound several of his swings a dozen times, and slowed them down on our DVR. He clearly pulled (not pushed) his hands, and went the full 105 degrees with his front shoulder. Very quick, clean swing. Obviously, you hvae many video clips on this board showing the same thing. It was just nice for my son to be able to recognize it, and put consistent terminology to what he was seeing... again, thanks to your research and thoughtful description of the proper swing mechanics.
