Re: Re: SLIGHT UPSWING ?
>>> Its my beleife that to swing up on the ball the batter must do one of the following:
1. Start out with his hands below the height of the ball and swing up on it.
2. Start out with his hands above the height of the ball (which almost all batters do) and swoop down and up on the ball.
3. Hit the ball at the end of the swing, after the wrists have rolled over.
Remember most batters start the forward movement to the ball
with their hands ABOVE what is a high strike.

Hi Joe A.
Joe, you really need to make a closer frame-by-frame study of the swing before you speak. Many of your statements just do not hold water with what a video breakdown of the swing shows. --- For example you stated, "Its my beleife that to swing up on the ball the batter must do one of the following: 3. Hit the ball at the end of the swing, after the wrists have rolled over." --- Joe, on a good swing, the path of the bat-head bottoms out and starts angling upward well before the hands are fully extended and the wrist start to roll. This is clearly shown in a frame-by-frame study. A little more study before making those types of statements would make your arguments far more credible.
