How essential is the swinging-into-the-heavy bag drill for somebody who is trying to master these (ie, Jack's) swing mechanics?

> Whatever you want to master in life will take a great deal of training, now trying to master 1 of the hardest parts of all sports will take pure dedication. The bag or tire can be mounted in your yard or garage or basement. This will allow you to train when no one else is around, bad weather, short amount of time ,or when ambition is not high some days.Picture it as a way to set a goal of 700 swings a week and always be able to meet that goal. You can also use this as a training tool to enhance strength by using heavier and lighter bats to build strength and speed as well as working on technique.Mix in some hi tech batspeed detectors and you can measure your success.Train your concentration and focus to stay right on the tire as you hit this helps alot for those pulling head out.Adjust your position and work on outside and inside pitches. You must still go out with the tee then and see how the ball is taking off the bat to guage your success with what your doing with the tire.Add soft toss, pitching machines and finally as much live pitching you can get to round out your swing, then work on the mental side of hitting as you lay in bed at night, analyze, and adjust to be a great hitter.
