Re: Re: hitting tires

Sirs,

My 7 year old has been playing for 6 seasons (fall and spring
in Georgia). He gets about 500 swings a week all year. We often
start our session with him hitting a basketball from a batting tee
with an upside-down plunger in it to hold the ball. This allows
him to practice turning his body into the ball to help mechanics.
I am not sure how it works, but after we warm up with 20 of these
swings, he hits the ball farther than usual. The only way to get
the basketball to go anywhere is to swing using the body.

Regards,
Dave
