centerfield line drives

This past sason I coached a 15 year old who hit (right handed) many line drives to deep center field. Often he got singles and doubles and seemed to hit the ball harder than alot of players who homered. Does he need to change bat angle? Any suggestions on getting more power and loft? Pull Hitting?
