swinging to hard

ya so I was having a home run derby with some friends and it was the first time like a year that I have really have hit a moving baseball... anyway my timing was way off and was getting out in front and swung so hard and really got way to out in front that my left shoulder popped... I think I probably almost kinda dislocated it... it just feels kinda lose and I cant move it certain ways. Has this happend to anyone before. Is it a common injury for a batter?
