What in your opinion really helps

Hi Jack or anybody else that can honestly answer this question. I am at the point now where I think I am ready to start drilling. I purchased Jack's DVD and have read a lot and I really feel that I understand the mechanics enough to try some drills in order to improve my swing to the best of my ability.

My question is what in your honest opinion would you say helps burn these mechanics in. I know it's not just one thing and I know it doesn't happen overnight. But I am ready to purchase a heavy bag and do drills the CORRECT way. I just don't want to be wasting my time doing something the wrong way or doing something that I don't need to work on although I find that very unlikely. Would you simply recommend following the drills on the video and then purchasing the pathfinder. Does the pathfinder really help a hitter learn the CHP?? Thanx for your time and honest answers.
