saw Jack's tape-BHT question

Posted by: Pete (princi@bellatlantic.net) on Sat Jun 23 16:00:38 2001

Jack, enjoyed your tape, but I need clarification regarding bht. You demo bht earlier in the tape, but tht actually happens first if I understand you properly.
Please tell me if I'm wrong: as the swing is started you apply tht and pull the bat back towards the catcher. The hitter's rotation around the axis cause the circular hand path and the lead arm comes around. While tht is appied, the bottom hand is stationary (like an oar lock). As the hips rotate the front leg extends and drives the left hip (right hand batter) back towards the catcher. Is it at that time that bht is applied and no sooner? Or is bht applied earler.

Appreciate your help.

Pete
