> Hi... I am coaching Boys 9-10 baseball this season. I have always been instructed that the back elbow should be kept raised to the level of the shoulder. I have recently read a number of articles that say the elbow should be held close to the body. Which is the proper technique? Thanks

Back elbow in prelaunch is personal preference. Jeff Kent starts with a lower elbow then Manny Ramirez. As the swing is launched the back elbow has to get down to the body.
