This discussion is similar to those that I have commented on before. Good hitters are generally rotational on inside pitches and more linear on outside pitches, change-ups and curveballs. You have to be able to adjust. That's why the best hitters practice hitting balls to right field...you learn to wait; adjust and hit. Not everyone is given Williams' or Bonds' ability to wait for that one pitch that they can turn on and drive. Most of us mortals have to hit the pitch where its pitched and be able to make solid contact to all fields. I wish Jack wouldn't use selective vids to try to prove his point....the vid portraying a linear swing lacks any credibility.
