Do most great batters try to guess pitches and wait for that particular pitch at that particular at bat? Maybe as you said guessing change-up and a pitcher throws fastball, you might have to let it go by, especially if your ahead on the count. I would imagine there are some great hitters who just have an open mind at the plate and think nothing of what's coming next since they are the best.

You make alot of sense, maybe we think right field fastball more often and or wait for our pitch.

Any drills to practice, hands first? To help us hit to right field only!!
