Mike-
As a point of interest here, the first truncated Pujols clips stops just after the synchronized external rotation of the back arm and front leg and before the shoulders start to tilt. This would be the rubberband winding phase or "pre launch" tht where this arm action is keeping the hands back to load the body optimally.

Some say that the shoulders are what make the arms move in this part of loading, but I do not "see" how that is possible here.

Shortly after this, tilting of the shoulders will accompany the drop of the front heel to resist opening when the hips uncok/turn with the help of front foot blocking weight shift.
