Hi,
> im going to high school next year and i want to make the team bad. i have a few promlems for example i swing a high balls. i dont no why but i do and if theres a reason for it i would like to know. and i would not mind a few more tips on hitting and fielding .
> thanx >>>Robert, many are a sucker for a high pitch as I was because it is right in line with your eyes and you track it so well, yet your swing is not designed to hit it.See your front elbow tends to go up as your back elbow comes down allowing you to get on plane with a ball that is coming down from a pitchers hand which is above his head to your waist. Now when you see the high one the only way to hit it is to balance out the angle of the elbows to level out the bat or you hit it straight up ,foul it back or miss it completely.Learn to leave it alone is best.I would use a machine and set it high and watch ball after ball go high and learn to take it,mentally focusing on a ball path that would travel down into the strike zone and when this ball stayed high out of that plane I would let it go,alot of mental imaging, then have someone pitch and throw high, then start working in some strikes and you learn to pickout the strikes and swing.
