Softball Dad. In addition to what Jack suggested, a shortrun correction could be to have your daughter close her stance somewhat while moving her back foot away from the plate. This will allow her to use more of the field and keep the ball fair. This will also create additional timing so the she can judge the pitches better. This method of correction was also offered by Ted Williams in his video "Batting With Ted Williams".
