You may wish to go to Old Hickory.com. They make bats as well as might be able to provide you with specifications on what the pros use. Most players probably use 34 inch 30 ounce to 34 inch 30 ounce. Alfonso Soriano uses a 35 inch 35 ounce bat which is one of the more heavier models. I believe Frank Thomas uses a 33 inch 31 ounce bat. Ted Williams used 34.5 to 35 inch/ 32 to 34 ounce bat(s).
Tony Gwynn used a 32inch/31ounce bat.
