Is it possible for BB to hit a home run off of a tee...that is, hit a ball 400 feet from a standstill. It is silly, but the physics of it are interesting! Thanks, E!

Most likely it is possible. Look at it this way. Back in the day a little league practice a coach would hit a ball to the outfielders that would sometimes travel over the fence. The fence is about 300 ft away. Now let us consider that the coach was not as strong or gifted as Barry Bonds. Therefore I believe it is highly possible for Barry Bonds to hit a ball off a T 400 ft. Also, consider that by hitting of a T, the batter has the advantage of perfect timing since the T is centered at one spot. The disadvantage of course is the fact that the batter does not have the momentum of the pitch. But the advantage of perfect timing combined with the hitter being able to hit the ball of the sweet spot should make up the difference.
