A nice simple drill would be to follow the ball all of the way into the catcher's mitt. Don't worry about swinging for now, just observe and follow the ball. Where did it hit the mitt?

Get it? If you're pulling your head, you don't have a clue.

Once you get into the habit of following the ball and turning your head inward, it's impossible to pull your head away right?

Give it a shot, and if you watch the pro's, many of them are looking into the mitt to see where the ball hit. Have you ever done that, that you can remember?
