I find it easyer for BB to be done this way. I start kids off slow. Until they drive the ball I keep it at that speed. After 10 or so good drives I pick it up. If the arm can handle it I will keep going as long as he can hit the pitch. This is just one on one with my son. Right now we dont do much work on the field. Just in cage but it is a work out for the both of us. He gets to see slow to fast and learn to adjust to the pitch.
