Dustin and Al,

I would say with out seeing your son's swing that the hands are leading the bat. Your not pulling the bat around and getting into good contact postion. This also leads into long swings in which cause more strike outs. When something goes wrong in a swing it is always better to get back to basic's. Check the stance, launch postion, inward turn, etc. Heavy bag and tee work is always something to fall back on.

As for 10u to young to learn proper swing, I say bull!
My son has been using this for 2 years and he is 11. I have even went and worked with kids on the team that was struggling. Just little things make all the differences. They have never been exposed to this type of swing and picked it up very quickly.
