Questions for Jack

Posted by: Andrew (drog29@aim.com) on Wed May 3 22:16:27 2006

Coach Jack,
I seem to be having trouble hitting to the opposite field with power. I can pull the ball and hit with power, but not to the opposite field. What should I work on to improve this? Is it possible that I try to extend my arms too early in my swing? I have found that when the arms extend too early, it leads to the barrell droping, or rolling over. I wonder if when I recognize the pitch as being outside, I extend my arms to the pitch instead of maximizing the rotation of my body??? Any thoughts? Thanks for youre time.

Andrew
