Re: Q about hands
>>> When I swing , at my stance my bottom knuckles of my bottom hand are inline with the middle knuckles of my topp hand. At contact the middle knuckles of both hands are inline, so my hand has JUST barely "slipped" around. Halfway through my swing my top hand feels as if it's about to let go. Is this the way it's supposed to be? <<<
Hi Maximum
The grip and results you describe are what would be expected when both hands are extended toward the pitcher at initiation. You would probably also notice that your elbow slides in toward your bellybutton as the swing progresses. These are normal conditions I find with batters who rely mainly on the arms to bring the hands to contact. --- It is difficult to apply top-hand-torque properly when the middle knuckles are inline at initiation, but should be more inline by the time you reach contact.
