> I dont know, maybe I am wrong, but I do not see why everyone has never heard of anything on this site. This site says that 99% of baseball players dont use these mechanics and everyone is wrting these thank you messages on the discussion board. There is nothing that you should be surprised at. What is so different about this swing than a regular one. Just because you bring your hands straight to the ball or you use a more circular path, it wont make that much of a differnce. Everyone acts like they have never seen a normal hitter take a stride and load in their swing. It is not very hard to hit. I think this site breaks down the swing a little too deeply. As I read through the swing mechanics page, the swing looked like a regular swing to me. Nothing looked different. Everyone gets so amazed like they have never learned to hit before. All you have to do is take a stride, bring your hands back to the load position, and as you start your swing, tuck your elbow to the side and watch the ball hit the bat and the rest will just go where it has to go. Please reply and let me know what is so different about these mechanics and regular mechanics.

Joe,

I feel your not understanding the people on the site. The problem out there in the baseball world is that you have different thoughts on how to swing a bat. True you can just take your hands back and push fwd and make contact. Put the ball in play and it is easy to a deg. What you will find out, at the higher levels you cant do that. For one the basepath is goes from little league 60' to 90'. That meands the weak ground ball or that soft pop up that would find its way behind the infield is caught. Most kids stop playing baseball before they have to make that move. But most kids now days are getting away from the LL and playing travel ball. This is more like HS baseball. Each year the pitching distance and basepath goes back. Now you have to really hit the ball.

One major flaw is coaching at the LL level. Hands to the ball. Throw the bat head. Just to name a few. This will limit the kids ability to advance to the highter level. Thouse kids drop out and play other sports.

What I feel that Jack's site provides is sound hitting instruction that dad's and/or coaches can use to help players advance to the next level. I would like to hear your response.
