As the ball is coming at you and you are striding and loading, is it right to say that your hands should still be moving back (loading) as the pitch is coming at you? In other words, as the ball is in the air coming at you, your hands are still moving back. And when the ball reaches about halfway to you, your stride foot should be down and that is when you should be starting yor swing? So you start your load just before the pitcher release the ball, and your load should be completed as the ball is halfway towards you. And this would also mean that you are reading the pitch as you are moving (loading), and when you stride foot is down, you should know whether you are swinging or not.
