problem with stride

Posted by: Maximum () on Mon May 14 13:59:24 2001

I seem to be having a problem. Whenever I stride, my foot only goes forward about 3 or 4 inches, which is a short stride for me, which is good according to this swing. My problem, I always seem to have my weight more over my back leg instead of evenly distributed weight. Ted Williams says to keep the weight in the middle at all times so as not to commit to either back nor front. Jack also says to have a 10 degree lean away from the pitcher. Apparently I can't do both at the same time. I find I can't bring my hips and hands around in time. Any suggestions, drills, tips? Should I do one or the other? Or just practice striding?

By the way, read my post on Thu May, because I still need an answer for that since it's more of a problem than the post I'm writing right now. thanx y'all!!
