You can do one of two things:
1. Use psychology and try to convince him not to be afraid of swinging the bat when the ball has the possibility of hitting him.
Good luck...
2. Find Reduce Injury Factor Balls and hit him while your pitching to him--CAUTION--don't throw fast, just enough to let him know that being hit by a pitch is no big deal.
