GRC,actually I think lar said him and his son did a test with stride/no stride in pitching and only 2-3 mph difference.The thing I would like to press upon folks is when a no stride is done correctly all the same movements are done as though you have strided.linear momentum,weight transfer,heel down ,transistion from linear to rotational just with more control for some.
