Re: Coach comments on Son's technique

His coach is saying he is not extending his arms enough and his elbow is too close to his body, that the swing is too tight to his body. Also he wants him to roll his wrists. Is the coach not up to date or in the final torque movement (flick or snap)does the elbow separate from the body and extend out?

I assume you refer to the rear elbow and the elbow adjusts depending on how far out the pitch is,this is the adjustment for in and out pitches,if you look at enough film with in and away pitches from the front you will see the difference,barrel awareness and staying connected while putting the barrel on the ball is what is necessary to make the adjustment properly
