wrist roll

Jack in your truism and fallacy section on wrist rolls you mention premature wrist roll can cause the lead elbow to break down and in thus ruining the swing plane. What mechanic would cause this wrist roll to happen early if the back arm is in an L position and the shoulders are rotated 90-105 degrees? The video I watch shows the lead elbow being pulled down and in (an attempt of bht) causes the wrists to roll at contact. Any drills to muscle-memory teach not to drive the front elbow down at contact?
