Re: No stride!
Last year I had a 10U power hitter introduce a stride into his swing and all it did was cause him to slide under the ball and left him unable to hit anything.
I taught him to unload his front foot by picking up his heel while keeping his toe on the ground and suddenly he was able to hammer the ball again.

The closest pro that I find is Ken Griffey Jr. Coaches seem to think he needs to stride. I, however, think that most kids overstride which causes their eyes to move to a lower plane. Any thoughts?
