Here is a description of the type of golf swing that is most like the MLB swing you describe:

http://www.golftoday.co.uk/proshop/tuition/lesson10.htm

the 3 main flaws that have to be avoided at the start down (launch) are:

1- top hand dominance (corrected by prelaunch tht/tht at launch)

2-not keeping the shoulder in there (overemphasis on turning the shoulders, our area of
disagreement, and

3-throwing/casting the club/head via premature unhinging of the wrists.

THT is a way of accelerating the barrel that makes it easier to keep the hands back and
AVOID either prematurely unhinging the wrists OR interrupting the coil (and subsequent
unloading sequence) of the torso (torso action not to be confused with shoulder/scap
action).
