Re: Distance of the ball compared to bat speed I am doing a physics project on the change of distance on a ball compared to the change of velocity of a bat. I know this is an easy question, but I need hard proof of bat speeds and distances. Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated! ...I know that the size of the bat has alot to do with it.A broom stick can have alot of speed but the ball will not travel. A telephone pole has lots of mass but no speed so no distance either.Its the combination ,and the trajectory off the bat and the speed of the pitch that all influence distance.Ther,s some Physics guy named Adair that may have some #s on speed and distance if you can find his book.
