It should be rotated at contact so only the tip of the shoe is touching the ground,many only see the ball of the foot on the ground since as the swing goes into the follow thru and the upper body weight starts coming back the weight begins to rest back on the ball of the foot for balance,some hitters at contact do not even have their foot touching the ground at contact but rest it on the ball of the rear foot in the follow thru
