I think your insistence on a smoothly accelerating,non-explosive tempo is often underappreciated.The commonest problems I see are when anxiety causes the big lower body muscles to shut down in an attempt to rush the little arm muscles into action prematurely.When you learn how to develop great batspeed and confidence,there's almost always time for a good swing and no need to rush.
