Interesting. I just put Edmonds and Bonds side by side on the RightView Pro in both front view and pitcher view. Both have identical rotational mechanics with arm extension beginning one frame before contact and ending four frames after contact.

I cannot compare the other pro players listed because I don’t have their swings captured in the RightView software. But, this is evidence that greater difference exists in observer’s perceptions of pro swings rather than in the swings themselves.

Another interesting note is that both Edmonds and Bonds exhibit nearly identical hip slide leading into rotation despite the fact that Bonds’ front foot strides about 17 inches while Edmonds front foot has no stride.
