>>> Hopefully you can make some sense out of my many typing errors. I usually check my typing twice.

Anyways, The reason I called his swing child like is because you only see a swing like this from a child/LL. This swing doesn't represent a high level swing.

In a high level swing, hitters don't lead with the back elbow. They don't drop the barrel in the back and then swing. Only kids do these things.

I said 6 is to young, but this depends on the child. If they can make changes to how they swing then it's not to young. If they have problems with making changes then it's better to wait a few more years or until they can make adjustments.

Get that lead side connected to rotation. <<<

Hi Shawn

I think we are on the same page. Most young hitters obviously do not have accomplished swings. I hope Chuck and other Dads do not think we even expect these kids to exhibit high level mechanics. What we are pointing out are areas they need to work on over the years to reach their potential. They have 8 to 10 years to make these adjustments before they even reach high school ball and here we are comparing them with clips of Bonds and Sosa -- this is not what we expect -- it is something to shoot for.
