"cocking the hips"

Posted by: Pete Princi (princi@bellatlantic.net) on Thu Mar 22 19:27:17 2001

Ted Williams in his book the science of hitting advocates a cocking of the hips as part of the stride and trigger. It's a slight inward turn that allows the hands and hip to rotate back sightly. He also describes the hip movement (as you swing) as a spinning action, with the head as the axis. Do you agree, and is this consistent with your philosophy?
