12U Bat Size 2 3/4 or 2/58?

Does anyone have any experience with the Cooperstown 12U bat rules and the performance of the 2 3/4 barrel bats vs the 2 5/8?
I see Easton CNT has a new -10 2 5/8 version..?

I would think the 1/8th inch less would give you a little more bat speed, but what is the tradeoff of the possibly better bounce off the larger diam. bat??
