I would agree that the increased bat speed from rotational mechanics might lead to some increase in the strikeout ratio. But I would point out that the increase in bat speed has also allowed rotational hitters to capture most of the MVP’s and two hitters in the in the .400 range (Williams and Brett) and all the HR records. A pretty good trade off wouldn’t you think.
