Adjusting Inside/Outside

Posted by: FiveFrameSwing (lyons.chris@yahoo.com) on Fri Sep 19 17:56:27 2008

Jack,

On the topic of "adjusting for the inside/outside pitch" you once wrote that the batter only needed to make a small change to how they initiated their swing.

I was hoping that you would add more description on what this change is.

My understanding was that you recommended less emphasis on THT & more emphasis on BHT for an inside pitch, and that for an outside pitch you recommended more emphasis on THT and less emphasis on BHT.

Am I correct to assume that for an inside pitch that you expect the lead shoulder to begin pulling on the bottom hand sooner than for an outside pitch?

Thank you.
