“Jack your saying that the top hand is rather stationary and the bottom hand and shoulder is pulling around” -- When I say the top hand is rather stationary, I will normally add the clarification, “in relationship to the rotating shoulders.” At other times I leave it out and assume the reader already understands this relationship. – So the top hand is supplying a great deal of force (toward the pitcher) to the bat handle. But is coming from the rotation of the shoulders, not the extension of the back arm.
