MY QUESTION IS WHAT MECHANICS DOES BIG MAC USING BECAUSE , IM CONFUSE BECAUSE PEOPLE SAY HE USES THE CHARLEY METHODS OF HITTING? OR HE USES ROTATION MECHANICS???? PLEASE ANSWER

> I'd have to say that McGwire uses rotational mechanics. Believe me when I say that Mr. Mankin knows what he is talking about -- Rotational mechanics produce the greatest batspeeds. And there is no way that a hitter of the caliber of Mark McGwire can generate the tremendous amount of batspeed that he does using linear (Charley Lau's style) mechanics. It can only be done with rotational mechanics.

> Also, I have taken time myself to review the swings of Ken Griffey, Jr., Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa, Alex Rodriguez, Mike Piazza, Barry Bonds, Nomar Garciaparra, Rafael Palmeiro, and Chipper Jones. What I found was that all of these great hitters use the rotational mechanics which Jack advocates. And, all of them produce among the best numbers in power and produce the greatest batspeeds.
>
> Although many hitters (including Major League hitters) claim that they use linear mechanics, in truth they may not. For example, Ken Griffey, Jr. as well as Alex Rodriguez and even Mark McGwire have been quoted as saying that they use weight shift and extension mechanics. And from Mr. Mankin's and my own observations I can safely tell you that they do not.
