I can tell this about Barry Bonds, he by far is the smartest hitter I've ever played with. See the problem is, the media harps on the steriods and all the negative, but this guy knows more about the game than he cares to share. I use to ask him how did he keep his aggressiveness even when he knew they were going to pitch around. He said well before the game started and depending on every situation he knew when they were going to pitch to him. Think of the players that have benefited from batting in front of him or behind him. He's made those guys a lot of money. Rich Aurilla?

When I played with him he use to tell me, I don't train to be good, I train to be the Greatest. Pay attention to detail!! He always use to tell me work on your weaknesses not your strengths in practice. He use to tell me what separates goodness from greatness is the great players are never afraid to fail. Especially in front of their peers NEVER!!
