What I try to do is shift the hips and upper body forward together, thus maintaining the tilt of the spine. This small shift past center, as I said, allows greater push back from the front leg.
I agree that the upper body/axis of rotation should not be tilted forward. Do you think it is possible to move the axis 'as a unit' as I describe and use the weight forward technique? Or are the two mutually exclusive?
