Firm grip and front side pull

Posted by: dougdinger () on Wed Sep 7 16:46:30 2005

Jack, all season long I've been focusing on rotating around a stationary axis and gaining BHT, without success. I've been having problems gaining BHT, with my hands dipping a little and swinging under the pitch. However, the other day I did some BP and took a grip with a firmer grip for the bottom hand than the top hand and starting ripping the ball and getting BHT. My question is that since you state that the top hand should be loose for the grip, I'm wondering what you think the tension level should be for the bottom hand. You also state that many people still try to push with their top hand, but I wonder if it should be more of a pull with the bottomh hand. Thank you.
