follow through

I have asked many coaches about the follow through. Some coaches want the hitter to finish with the hands "high", while others suggest finishing with the hands following through at shoulder level. I personally believe that the hands should finish through the same plane as the swing, I see alot of coaches teaching kids to finish with the hands higher. Any opinions out there on which is "better"?
