Perpendicular Back foot at contact?

Posted by: Zay Zay Kid () on Thu Aug 18 01:32:02 2005

I noticed that in the swings of all most all great power hitters that their back foot becomes
almost perpendicular to the ground as the front leg stiffens during contact. Sometimes
the back foot even seems to drag fowards. How do these hitters keep their weight
seemingly back while their back foot is up in this position and is this essential to a good
rotational swing?

Thanks. Big fan of the web site.
