John: How or why would anyone want to discuss anything with you? Your posts are a combination of random thoughts with no coherent principle govening anything you write. Take for instance the two completely contradicting posts you write:

(1) "To me, the way the body is made, since the front hip is obviously much farther in front of the hands at load, when the swing is launched, the hips have no other physical choice but to fire first?"

(2) "Kind of like when Ted said;'keep the elbows trailing compactly, and if you swing with a slight up-swing, the hips have to open.' But what does a guy that hit 400 know?"

So which it, John, do the hips lead the shoulders or do they follow the arms? Have you ever studied video? Obviously, you do not understand, and rather than try to learn you are caught up quoting something written decades ago.

When Jack writes extensively above THT and BHT and posts video on the topic (like the thread below "demonstrating THT/BHT"), you are either silent, or note: "I am NOT saying that your theory of top hand torque does not exist. I am not qualified to prove or, disaprove, the existance of something in my mind ,to be abstract."

Keep living in the past and quoting phrases you don't understand while teaching see the ball, hit the ball ... I'm sure that will really help your students. Quite frankly, the best thing you can do is give your students Jack's instructional videos and get out of the way.
